Autumn

19 October - 8 November: Monica Ismay Horn

Primarily a painter she has also produced an interesting variety of digital work. Her paintings of flowers, vegetables and her landscapes have a clean fresh approach which make you see the objects without distraction.

26 October - 2 November: Lawrence Coulson

This is a major showing of work sponsored by Washington Green of fourteen new limited edtion prints by "the up and coming young artist of the year 2002". If you like big atmospheric skies and landscapes which capture moments of long forgotten memories this is the show for you.

Mid Nov - early Dec: Kouchile

Our final show of this period is by an African Artist, Kouchile. He and his family live in a remote and exceedingly poor part of Tanzania. We saw his work when we were asked to frame some of his pictures brought back by a charity worker. This show has two purposes; to allow you to enjoy and acquire his work but also to raise money to help the local school where the artist will be encouraged to teach the village children. Most of the money raised from the sales of his pictures will go to this end (the artist has already been paid for the pictures) but donations will also be gratefully received. This will be mid-November to early December.
